Painting a room of wood and moldings, doors and windows opens up the potential for design

When painting wood, start at the top of the room and work down: ceiling
moldings, doors, windows, moldings, chair rail, baseboards, and then save the wear and tear on your knees when painting baseboards with the use of knee or kneeling on a cushion. The wood trim is sometimes curved or very narrow, less than an inch, making it difficult to paint carefully. Vertical edges of the windows and door frames are not only narrow but also are often at an angle that is difficult to reach easily with a brush.
